Bardolino is a small town located on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, the largest in Italy, with its 370 square kilometers of surface.
Located just thirty kilometers from Verona and an hour and a half from Venice and Milan, Bardolino is one of the most fascinating and characteristic villages on the Veronese shore of the lake: the city center is, in fact, animated by shops, clubs, bars and restaurants, as well as embellished with 19th century churches and villas century; the hills, on the other hand, are covered with olive trees and vines.
Two of the most famous and renowned products of the area are, in fact, Garda Dop Extra Virgin Olive Oil and wines such as Bardolino Doc, Bardolino Superiore, Chiaretto and Chiaretto spumante. And two museums have been dedicated to its two main products, that of Wine, in Costabella, and that of Oil, in Cisano.
Other typical products of the area are mushrooms, scorzone del Baldo truffle, honey and freshwater fish, such as whitefish, bleak, sardines, eel or tench, with which the exquisite “risotto con la ténca” is prepared which, together with tortellini di Valeggio sul Mincio, is one of the most important dishes of the lake tradition.
